I’ll admit it. When it comes to beauty products, I use way more than I really need. If a little is good, a lot must be even better, right? Too much shampoo, too much moisturizer, too much sunscreen. Wait, is that even possible?!
Actually, it is. When you think about the high cost of many beauty products, you probably wish there was a way you could save money. Luckily there is, and it’s a lot simpler than you think. You just have to learn (and then use) the correct “serving size” for the product in question. Take a look at the infographic below to see what I mean.

Surprising, right? I thought so, too. It’s clear that for most of my life, I’ve been using way more product than necessary. I use this Juice Beauty Smoothing Eye Concentrate twice a day, and I was using a whole lot more than one pine nut per eye!
When I think about how much money I’ve thrown away by so carelessly using too much of everything, it kind of breaks my heart. Think of all the clothes and shoes and jewelry and… let’s be honest… food I could’ve bought with that money.
It’s true what they say: more is not necessarily better, and by knowing the correct “serving size” for the beauty products you use on a regular basis, you can learn to save both money and resources. Any time we have the opportunity to lessen our consumption, we make the world just a little bit better place.
How good are you at using the correct amount of beauty products? I’d love to hear your thoughts in a comment below.
